Electro Static Precipitator

This is the heart of Sterlomaxx. E.S.P. is made up of 7 pairs of plates (14 plates) one of which is held at a very hive voltage,& the other one is kept at zero volts. Thus a very heavy electrostatic force is generated. When air passes through E.S.P.

the particles gets charged & attracted towards the Zero plate. They are precipitated there. When microorganisms enter this region, they are attracted on the Zero plate A electrocuted with a very high voltage. When C02 (in air) comes in this region, due to high electrostatic force, Carbon is split from Oxygen A deposited on the Zero plate & Oxygen is released free. Thus enriching the air with more Oxygen.

Ultra Violet Tubes

Sterlomaxx Zephyr uses Germicidal Grade Ultrviolet Light also know as UV-C that is set at a wavelength of 253.7 nM. UV-C light has been long used for its anti-microbial properties. Ultraviolet light kills cells of bacteria & viruses by damaging their RNA/DNA.

Exposure to the electromagnetic radiation (light) at certain UV wavelengths modifies the genetic material of microorganisms and destroys their ability to reproduce. The UV energy triggers the formation of specific thymine or cystosine dimers in DNA and uracil dimers in RNA, which causes the inactivation of microbes by causing mutations and/or cell death as well as failure to reproduce. It also ensures the inside of Sterlomaxx remains sterile all the time. U.V. radiation is completely sealed inside Sterlomaxx. No radiation comes out of the machine.

High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance Filter

HEPA stands for High Efficiency Particulate Arrestance & is made of fine fibre glass media. HEPA is a type of mechanical air filter that efficiently arrests dust particles of upto 0.3 microns, capturing most of the airborne microorganisms. HEPA filters are the most dependable media when it comes to critical applications that require contamination control. Sterlomaxx Zephyr uses mini-pleat HEPA filter as a final stage of filtration. HEPA in combination with UVGI makes the most effective combination to ensure 100% sterilisation of air.
